Frozen Moments..

To the ones embedded in our memory,
moments in time - is all we shall keep
photographs of things remembered and of things hard to forget

The significance of a moments lies in its ablity to pass
us by so quickly not allowing us a glance,
perception or comprehension making it what it exactly is.

A moment would become irrelevant
if they were drawn out sequences of events
Its inspiration lies in its briefness, robbing us of time and mind.

"As happens sometimes a moment settled and hovered
and remained for much more than a moment.
And sound stopped and movement stopped
for much, much more than a moment.
And then the moment was gone"

- Not sure who wrote the above quote, I liked it anyway.

Over Cold Coffee..

[Meeting new people obliges you to meet more people]

I listened to him eagerly talk about his past,
so eager infact, it had me thinking,
why do we feel the need to broadcast our 'used to be's'
Is it to bring to the fore present comparison..?
Or maybe just their need to make meaningful conversation,

Nevertheless, i find the past fascinating and yet occassionally boring.

Maybe its because all their baggage
contributes to their being - at that present moment

Ever curious,
I like keeping in mind what has been,
while understanding what has become and
what is to come

Deciding whether to impart or depart

Original Signs..

I thought about it day and night; in fact,
i couldn't think about anything else;
actually, this was the first oppurtunity i had had to think something;
or should i say: to think something had not been possible,
first because there was no things to think about,
and second because signs to think of them were lacking,
but from the moment there was that sign,
it was possible for someone thinking to think of a sign,
and therefore that one, in the sense
that the sign was the thing you could think about
was also the sign of the thing thought, namely, itself.

Multi-Personality Disorder or is it..

No one is the same person at any given point in time.
We switch personalities so quickly, it challenges the whole,
now momentarily exhausted statement "just be yourself"
Which would make sense if being yourself consisted of
these many personality fluctuations we seem to experience
which brings us to who exactly are we then..

The sum of all these personalities..?

Or just the ones we choose to put forward..
allowing us to be perceived like we want to be..

[who you are depends on who your with]

Meaning..

The person you are, depending on whether it is family/friend/lover
is based on who they are to you..
You are never the same person to any of those three categories..
Who you are when your with your friend
is not who you are with your brother/sister..etc
Which on some level is quiet obvious..

Then again, who are you really..?

We now pan to

Jakie chan screaming "who aam ai".. "who aam ai"
(In That cheesy Jakie Chan flick called.. "who am i")

Grin..

Ps - Draw your own conclusions..

Hole In The Floor..

I dreamt - That i fell and din't stop falling
while i had nothing to hold onto except that
plastic chain you called our treasure..

It was worth it - The fall that is..
